AAMI-Certified Imaging Service Training for Engineers and Biomeds
Grow Your Medical Imaging Career With ACI Certified Training
Proper training is vital to your success in medical imaging—not to mention the health and safety of those you’ve been entrusted to protect. Our goals are to give you the skills necessary to keep your systems up and running, familiarize you with their use in a clinical setting, provide you with valuable CEUs through our ACI-accredited program, and most importantly, provide the support network you need after you’ve completed the course.
Medical Imaging Training Programs for Everyone

Our Unique Training Program
Custom and Corporate Training Program – Our needs-driven approach creates tailored training programs designed specifically for the requirements of your organization, staff, and specific imaging equipment. Whatever your training needs may be, we can work with your team to build a comprehensive curriculum to address them.
Integrated Training Program – Created to address the needs of experienced imaging engineers, this mentor-led program integrates our Interactive Virtual Training Academy (IVTA) into our traditional system courses. With only four hours spent online each day, students spend less time traveling during the theory-centric first week of the course and more time dedicated to hands-on learning in our state-of-the-art imaging suite the second week.
BioMed to Imaging Academy – New for 2022, we created this program in response to overwhelming customer demand for a course specifically made for biomeds who are ready to take the next step into imaging equipment service.
This mentor-led program is designed to reduce stress and build confidence through one-on-one, dedicated support from industry-leading imaging experts and mentors, each with decades of experience training other professionals on the most advanced imaging systems in the world. It combines the flexibility of virtual classroom instruction with the confidence-building benefits of in-person training on state-of-the-art equipment. With workshops and on-the-job training filtered in throughout year. Our mentors are paired specifically based on your needs to make sure when you complete the program you are ready and supported to do the job.
MR, CT, Angio, Radiography and Fluoroscopy & Nuclear Medicine
DirectMed offers training on the latest technology in Siemens imaging equipment, from basic to expert engineer level. Our course phases allow your engineers to learn at a pace that is efficient for you and effective for them.
Fundamentals
Courses are designed to advance service and technical support personnel’s knowledge, capabilities, and careers. During the Fundamental phase, students will learn the physics, safety, system hardware and clinical applications used in each respective modality.
System Operating Software
Courses include syngo Classic, syngo Native, and Fluoro Spot Compact and are designed to teach the overlying theory, concept and implementation of applications from a non-modality-specific perspective.
Service Essentials
Courses will prepare service personnel for trouble shooting basic problems in the field. During these courses, students will learn how to respond to the initial service call and follow up until completion. This is a practical course where the tools used are presented, students will learn troubleshooting steps, how to solve problems, work with remote tech support and perform PM’s.
System
Courses virtually teach the theory and fundamentals the first week and hands on labs the second week, centered on the core principles of operation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair for all primary system components.
